Speaking and Learning Thai
I have to say learning the Thai language is difficult. In fact I believe the CIA had it listed as one of the hardest languages to master in the world. But once you have an understanding of how the language works, you will be able to put sentences and phrases together piece by piece. It is a slow process, but by following our tips and using some of our online tools, you will soon be able to converse confidently and naturally. Contrary to what the guide books tell you about Thai people wanting to strike up a converstaion with foreigners, many Thai people are very shy, both of their English ability and also foreigners. It is particularly interesting that even if the Thai person can speak resonably English, they feel very uncomfortable using that skill when faced by a foreigner.
